Cancer Care

For newly diagnosed cancer patients
Finding out that you have cancer can be a scary time, but there are many people ready to support you.

It is likely that most of your initial active treatment will be in a hospital setting.  However, the staff at this surgery are here to help ensure that you can find the appropriate care and help you need, when you need it.

Being diagnosed with cancer means having to deal with issues and situations that may worry you and cause uncertainty.

Macmillan Cancer Support provides helpful advice and support for you and your family.

They can be contacted for free on 0808 808 00 00, 7 days a week, 8am to 8pm or click on link below

The Macmillan Centres offer information and support in a quiet, confidential area in each of our hospitals.  This service is available to patients, families, carers, staff and anyone who wants information or support on all aspects of cancer.

The centres use a drop-in system for anyone who has queries or concerns. You can call in to see the team, or speak to us over the phone or by email.
Colleagues can also refer patients diagnosed with cancer. We will then visit ward or clinic areas to offer support.

We are unable to facilitate home visits.
